Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We were able to take the boys and go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. I am so glad that we went. From the moment that we got there and went into the one of the tents to wait for the next tour to start, I could feel the spirit so strongly. I was emotional through the entire tour. I am especially grateful that Greg and I could be inside of the temple with our boys. I loved being able to stand in the sealing room all together, looking in the mirrors, and explaining the significance to the boys. The temple is so beautiful. If you have the opportunity you should go.

What a handsome bunch...

Timpanogas Hike

Last Saturday we hiked to the top of Timpanogas and then went through the cave.  I am proud to say that we all made it to the top.  Even the little ones.  (what am I saying, I barely made it.)  They hiked to the top and then back down all by themselves.  It was a beautiful day... not too hot and not too cold, It was just right!

I had such a great time spending the day with all of my boys.  It was also nice to spend some time with the extended family.  The kids all look forward to every opportunity that they have to spend time with their cousins.
The cave was actually a little bit chilly, Cael looks like he is freezing in this picture.  He is exaggerating just a little.
I love this picture of all of the kids.  We had stopped so some of us could catch our breath and the kids were lined up looking over the edge.
Another one of my resting stops... the kids were all very patient with all of us adults that needed periodic stops along the way.

Pinewood Derby

On Wednesday, our ward held the annual Pinewood Derby.  Cooper had a great time and really loved making his car with his Dad.  They have been working on Coop's car on and off for about a month.  All that work must have paid off, because Cooper ended up taking second place.
Action Shot... Cooper's car is the one on the left.
The entire family had a great time.  Greg and the boys are already talking about next year.

Easter FUN!

Yesterday was the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grandpa John's and Grandma Tam's house.  Each year the kids get together and take a picture on the steps out back.  The kids are all growing up so fast, and I'm not sure how many more years we are going to be able to fit everyone on the steps.  This year, we are missing Josh.  He is on a mission in Arizona.
Cord showing all of the eggs that he found.

Greg just loves having his picture taken.
Handsome Cole... he is growing up so fast.  I think that he learned this expression from his Dad.  Like father, like son!

Cooper enjoying the activities that Grandma Tam planned for them.

Cord and Cael looking for eggs.

We had a great time.  We always enjoy getting together with the family.

Colton as Napoleon Dynamite

Yeah!!!  I finally figured out how to upload videos.  This is Colton's video from when he tried out for 7th grade class officer.  I think that he makes a pretty good Napoleon.  This was way to funny not to share.

The Day After

This is the aftermath of the demolition derby.  Colton said that all of his classmates ganged up on him.  They all surrounded him and beat his car to a pulp.  The car just couldn't handle the abuse.  Somewhere between here and the school, Colton lost a bumper and a tire.

And, look... he still has a smile on his face!

6th Grade FUN!

Colton and Greg have been busy this week building a car for Colton's 6th grade celebration for always being prepared.  Each student is going to get their drivers license, go to a drive-in movie, participate in drag races and the evening will wrap up with a demolition derby.  (this seems like a lot of work and trouble to ultimately destroy it at the end of the night... that's just me though.)

It has been fun to watch Greg and Colton working on this project together.

This is the finished product.
Colton is very excited for his party tonight.
